Pups
SHIPPING-How it works
Best printed in Landscape in your printer options.
Pups will be shipped within 4 days after ready date or within 4-7 days upon receiveing final payment. I do not charge for delievery to the airport for payments paid on time. If your pup is shipped to Canada, there may be a $35 terminal fee that will need to be paid when picking up the pup.

I take care of all the booking and flight arrangements. Buyer must be willing to work around arrival time for the pickup of their puppy. I will confirm flight via email after the reservations are made. I would like to be assured that the pup will be picked up, so please reply with a simple note that it was received. Airlines can place an unexpected embargo due to weather, if this should occur, pup will be shipped next available flight. Unexpected charges that can occur can be if the kennel requires a cleaning. They are well lined/padded, but puppies can get sick or nervous and each pup reacts differently to stress. Also if pup is in route and an expected embargo has been placed with no other flights available that are equipped to take live animals, they can be boarded overnight. Neither of these things have happened previously and not likely, but still possible. PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST AIRLINES WILL NOT ALLOW BOOKING/RESERVATIONS UNTIL 7 DAYS UNTIL PLAN SHIPDATE AND IN SOME CASES 24 HRS IN ADVANCE. As I stated, flights may not be the best for you but I will get the puppy to you. I use 5 different airlines, but not all fights are eqipped to take live animals. If you have not, please consider delared value insure. For more detailed information see shipping page. Link on front page on my website or on Sibe pups page.

I would recommend calling airlines, whichever airline applies to you, prior to picking up to make sure flight is on time, where to pick up (baggage claim or cargo and and all is well. The following are phone numbers: Continental: 1-800-421-2456 (press 8 to by pass prompt), Delta: 1-800-352-2746 option # 6 (track pup/on time), Northwest: 1-800-692-2746 (press 7 then # to bypass prompt); United: 1-800-822-2746. If another airline had to be used due to location, I will need to advise of phone number. If your pup is flying Delta, sometimes the flights connecting are commuter especially where final leg of flight is coming to a smaller city/town. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND calling the track and trace number to make sure your pup made it on a flight that is equipped to take live animals. They will not know until pup has left from connecting airport. If you do not call, and the pup has been held back until a plane is available to take live animals..you could be waiting at the airport for hours. There is now way for me to know when I book. They can only reserve space at that time for the connecting flight. Most always, flights are connecting and are very rarely direct flights. Continental will not book unless all aircrafts on flight itenerary are equipped, however, they may not have a flight from Kansas City to your airport including connecting flights.

Expect your pup to be a little scared when you pick her/him up. They usually always calm down and are back to normal within a day, some are very very active at first. They just need time and alot of special attention. They are insecure because they have been taken away from their security--their littermates. They must go through this whether they are picked up or shipped. They are pretty resiliant and once they realize their security is you, they are happy and content again. You may consider bringing a towel or handy wipes, the pup may be need to be cleaned up a little before the drive home. Not all pups handle the trip perfectly. I will send all paperwork/packet prior to puppy via postal mail as soon as final payment is received which can take up to 5 days to receive. Airlines will not allow anything but food shipped with pup.

You will need to check with your airport on where for sure to pick up the pup..either baggage claim or cargo. Usually it is baggage claim, but I have had a few buyers not call prior and panic when pup was not there...the pup was actually at the cargo so please call to save yourself the stress. I will not know any particulars about flight until 7 days prior to shipdate. If there is a problem when picking up the pup, please check with the airline for assistance with the confirmation or information you are given because you most likely will get quicker and better results being that you will be at the airport and have more of an access with airline. I, however, will do what I can to help but I will not be able to do anymore than you by calling numbers above. Please check with airlines BEFORE calling me, if there is something that should occur so that you can get the information first hand. Once the pup is dropped off at the airport, it is out of my hands and I have no control.

You will need a form of identification when picking up the pup (drivers license etc). The name on the paperwork is who most likely who they will only release the pup to. If someone else is picking up the pup, you will need to let me know the name so that I can make note on the paperwork. If you do not, then most likely pup will not release the pup. This also if there has been a change. This is all for your own protection, so that someone else cannot claim your pup. You may want to bring a pair of scissors or something to cut the ties on the gate if you want to get your pup out before you are at home. Some airlines it is required at check in. It is for saftey reasons. They may have something where you pick up the pup, but they may not.

If you are wanting an idea on what size the pup will be when you receive...the average is 10# per pup. The creight and pup total weight is 28-30#. The exact size dimensions of the crates are on the Shipping page.
